My question is; who the hell said that beauty comes in only a certain look or a certain size?!
What are we doing to our kids and their mindsets? What are we feeding them?
This world is going crazy over the looks, forgetting that what’s even more important is the beauty of the soul! People are setting delusional standards and feeding them to kids and youngsters and soon enough we will reach a stage where we will all be copies of what the media wants us to become, shadows of a product they are creating, no authenticity!
Media is feeding the minds of youngsters with wronged information about the quality of a beautiful woman or a handsome guy, forgetting that before a kid is turned into a lady or a man, they have to go through normal stages to be fully grown, but instead of finding kids doing what kids should normally do, they are trying to imitate the grownups in a way that would definitely create a generation with psychological problems and who in turn will raise up other generations with more problems and here you go, another endless dilemma!
There is a HUGE difference between beauty and a healthy body! Instead of pointing your fingers towards your kids, blaming them for eating a lot or for being overweight, planting a demon of an ugly figure about themselves inside their minds, raise an awareness of a healthy eating life style!
Make them feel beautiful always, don’t make them feel inferior, tell them that what they see on the television is crap, and that no matter how they look or what size they are, they are beautiful.
Teach them that it is okay if they are overweight, they still have the chance to lose weight. Teach them that even if they are overweight, they are still beautiful, because beauty has nothing to do with their weight! Teach them that what is more important than the look is a radiating smile or a shining eye. Teach them that their most important asset is their hearts. Teach them to take care of the human in them, that this is the definition of beauty. Teach them that intelligence is as beautiful as a pretty face. Teach them to take care of themselves, but not to an extent of being obsessive about their looks, this world is full of many gadgets creating selfish and self-centered human beings, and the last thing this world needs is another uncaring generation. Teach them to be confident, to be of an impact on the society. Teach them to be of a purpose on earth, to be helpful and compassionate towards others. Teach them to read, play sports, play music, sing or draw, arts and sports are beautiful, they create balanced kids!
Teach them how to be REAL!
If the media has an impact on the way you raise up your kids, then you have a more important role to convince them with what is logical and what doesn't make any sense!
