The thing is, we were raised up on the concept that in order for a person to become happy, they have to buy this, be that, reach this place..
Its like happiness is attainable through materials..
If you are at school, you'll be happy when you graduate.
When you graduate, you'll be happy when you start working.
If you are working, you'll be happy when you do postgrads or when you get into a relationship... and so on so forth with the endless list of achievements, needless to say, the endless list of stuff required to be bought in order for a person to be happy, like the most up to date gadget, or the hi-tec car and so on.
But, people still FAIL to become happy that they start seeking medical help, antidepressants are becoming so popular, people are using it as if it is their cure to that sad phase they've been going through.
But depression/sadness is not curable like it is a common cold or flu!
You cant take a medicine to change your mental or emotional state!
You want to stop worrying, then stop thinking too much.. relax, accept the fact that you are not in control with anything in your life... That there is a greater and higher power... it always feels better when you know that someone is taking care of you, someone is watching over you.. well BELIEVE IN THAT!
You want to stop that ache inside your heart, that trembling that suddenly appear out of nowhere, then you have to STOP feeling self pity or unworthy, if you don't see yourself worthy, how could you possibly imagine yourself happy, moreover, how can you ever believe that a pill will make you happier.
See, its a mindset.. you set your mind on a certain state and you will get there... it may take days, months or even years... but you will always get it as long as you strive for it.
Paulo Coelho said in his famous "The Alchemist" - when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it, though I would want to add, its not about wanting something alone, its about BELIEVING that you can get it... The universe won't help someone who is not ready to believe that they deserve happiness, that they will reach what they want.
Happiness is not found in a pill, not found in shopping, not found in future... happiness is found in your present, in what you actually own, even if what you own literally suck, you will eventually get used to it and become satisfied or
you will come up with a change that you can do with it.
